George Mullins Wins TP Tournament
To become a top golfer, a player must have talent and George Mullins has already proved he has that in abundance. However, to win tournaments takes a great deal of hard work and George Mullins has shown the perfect combination of both in his short time on the TP Tour.

Coming through qualifying tournaments is always difficult and Mullins faced a high-pressure playoff to secure a place in the Final Qualifying School. Weather conditions proved difficult during the Final Qualifying School but Mullins produced a performance which was good enough to command a place on many, if not all the EuroPro Tour golf tournaments this season.
However, there is one thing which breeds confidence more than anything in a golfer and that's winning tournaments.
Thanks to his dedication and quality golf, it has not taken long this season for Mullins to claim his second tournament victory on the TP Tour.
The TP Tour organises high class golf tournaments throughout the year and have successfully staged over 170 events. Many of the current European Tour players have won tournaments on the TP Tour before going on to mix it with the best in professional golf.
Eddie Pepperell, Paul McGinley, Ronan Rafferty and Andy Sullivan have all played in tournaments organised by the TP Tour and have tasted success on the European Tour. Mullins will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of great players such as McGinley and the English golfer has made the perfect start by winning the TP Tour event at the London Club.
This was only the third TP Tour event of the season and the tournament was played across one round, with the potential of a playoff if required.
Mullins began the round with five solid pars before getting into his stride with a birdie at the par-5, 6th hole. This was quickly followed by another birdie on the par-4, 7th hole and Mullins was 2 under par for the front nine.
The back nine started promisingly with a birdie on the 10th and another followed on the par-3, 10th hole. By this stage, it was becoming clear Mullins was in contention to win the tournament but a bogey on the 14th left him with a bit of work to do on the final few holes. Mullins responded and a birdie on the 18th hole forced a playoff with Jack Colgate, as both players finished on 4 under par.
Mullins has already proven he can respond to the pressure of a playoff and the 21 year old held his nerve to level the first playoff hole before heading to the 18th for a second time. Both players found the green but it was Mullins who held his nerve to putt from 20 ft out and clinch the tournament victory in fading light.
This was the second win for Mullins on the TP Tour and is a great confidence booster ahead of what could be a career defining season for the Englishman.
